I am Back

Hello All,

Ok it may of seemed I have disappeared out here pretty recently but I am back.

To be honest not a lot has been happening out here. The wind gods have sent through a bit of wind over the last few months but nothing to shout about.

I have just got a new camera and laptop so I will be keeping everyone updated with some short movies of my sessions. I have one I am preparing right now from a 30 min session is south bay so watch out for that.

In the mean time you might of read the news on boardseeker about the competitions in the UK which I managed to come 5th Place in at Ireland. I am really happy with this result even if the conditions were not that good hopefully it will be a bit of a building block to get better on this year and get into the top 4 or 3 this year in the overall. We shall have to see.

See you soon.

Fly Mount Video

Hello All,

Well this has been the strangest winter ever so far. With over 3 months of south winds now we must be due some North Easterlies soon.

With the competition season fast approaching in the UK we have been waiting to do some proper training but the conditions just have not allowed it.

We have had a few good days with a few waves from the south training wave riding on the other tack which has been awesome but I am kind of missing jumping now.

Here is a video that Fly Mount has made of the OTC staff just out the front of the centre. They have developed a clamp system that holds a normal everyday waterproof camera for a very affordable price so if you ever fancied taking some pictures or movies of your self check out their website here. http://www.flymount.com/

Thanks,

Grey

The Wind Is Back!!

Hello Everyone

Well after the warmest January ever out here (it was 30 degrees 3 days ago) and the worst January for wind so far it looks like the normal north easterlies are starting to come back in.

Today we have about 5.3 weather and only 10 people on the water in the whole of South Bay. For the future the forecast from Sunday is looking really good so lets hope that it stays in this way and we can get some good wave sailing next week. Watch this space for pictures and movie clips.

Thanks,
Graham

Here is a picture from the bay today nothing to exciting but the wind is finally back lets hope for more.

Light Wind Alternative

Hey Everyone,

With only one day of South winds since New Year has passed this hasn't been a great week to start the New Year Off. But there is some wind forecast over in Las Americas with big waves if you want to brave the reef and have your own kit.

We shall see if we can get a lift over there in the next few days.

In the mean time with the lovely 23ÂșC+ out here at the moment why don't you take a look at the Siam Water-park if you have never been before it is a blast. You can check out the website here http://www.siam-park-tenerife.co.uk/ or just have a look on youtube for the thousands of videos that are on their about it.

I will keep you informed about how things turn out in Las Americas.

Laters,
Graham

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello all,

Well we have managed to get through another good year. So I am going to wish you all a very happy new year and thank all the people who have given me support through out this year THANK YOU.

It has been a bit quiet out here after christmas the wind has gone on its holiday so we shall have to see when it comes back so let us hope that 2010 is a great year for everyone and brings in many waves and winds.

So I am going to get back to nursing my head and cleaning up the centre while we have no wind.

An amazing Christmas Day!

Hello Everyone,

Well Christmas day has been and gone and oh how good was it. All those new shiny presents to open, spending time with the family and eating as much as you can. For those of us out in El Medano we were granted the opportunity to go out on small sails ranging from 3.7 to 4.7 in starboard tack, cross-off and small waves. What a christmas day could not of asked for better to be honest.

Hopefully all of you out there enjoyed your christmas and are looking forward to the new year.

Here is a couple of photos from out here of the morning of christmas in front of the Kite Beach.
Thanks to Mali for the photos.
